NFJCA U16s enjoyed double success last weekend to move into 3rd place in the NatWest Indoor Cricket League at the Ageas Bowl.
First up there was a comprehensive 5 wicket win against Parley that saw the New Forest boys leapfrog their opponents in the table.
Parley batted first and set a reasonable score of 121-2 with Connor Tomkins taking 2-33. In reply the New Forest boys made the required total for the loss of just a single wicket with Campbell Golding 29no, Ben Fisher 27no and Tomkins 22no.
In the next game, New Forest were up against South East Sixes who had been struggling at the wrong end of the table. The South East boys batted first and recorded a reasonable score of 128-3, but again the New Forest batting saw them home for the loss of 3 wickets. This time it was the turn of Ben Fisher (28) and Rhys Wathen (27) to record big unbeaten knocks.
